George Hincapie is an American former professional cyclist and the founder and team lead of Modern Adventure Pro Cycling. He started 17 Tours de France from 1996 to 2012 — a participation record when he retired — and represented the United States at five Olympic Games from 1992 to 2008. His career also sits inside the US Postal doping record: Hincapie admitted using banned drugs and blood transfusions, provided sworn evidence to USADA and accepted the disqualification of results obtained from 31 May 2004 through 31 July 2006. Roadman's interviews preserve his first-person accounts of the Armstrong era, Paris-Roubaix positioning and changing tyre technology; official records, rather than interview recollection, establish the sanctions and results.
