Rowman today, I want to talk about the loser mentality
Rowman today, I want to talk about the loser mentality. Let's kill that intro! The big question is this. How do we use cycling as a tool to improve our health, our happiness, and our longevity? That is the question. This podcast will give you the answers. My name is Anthony Walsh, and welcome to the Rowman Podcast. Rowman! Roman welcome back to another roadman cycling podcast. Thanks for joining me for another week Today I want to talk about loser mentality and it's something that I've observed time and time again on Social media and I've tried to take myself out of social media largely and changed my relationship from it from as as initially someone that consumes content to now sitting on the fireside of the fence, someone who produces content. But like everyone else, you know, I don't know how we used to have a shit and sit on the toilet without flicking through our Facebook or Instagram feeds. Apparently people used to bring a newspaper into the toilet. So I'd be flicking through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, occasionally, and I just see this repetitive behaviour from losers. And I want to talk about that today. Before I do, I want to jump in and remind you all how we fund this podcast. The roadmap podcast is 100% funded by you. So a shout out to all the legends. Everyone that has dug into their pocket and said, you know what, this is something worth staying around. We want to see this into 2021 and beyond. So if you'd like to join that League of Legends which appears head on over to www.patreon.com forward slash Anthony underscore Walsh that's where you can buy me the price of a beer once a month price of a beer if I can't get the price of a beer value out here I'm not doing a great job on this podcast even if you've never used patreon before it takes two seconds and it's 100% secure patreon look after all that on their end and they're a super reputable company and they're great to deal with. So head on over there and support the podcast. And here we go. If check yourself, if you're fine yourself, identifying with this because this is loser mentality. I see people hating on other people and I hate starting the podcast with the word hating because it's such a Kardashian's. Oh my God, she's hating on her. But I don't know what else to call it when somebody is unnecessarily spewing hatred and vitriol towards someone else, in this case someone else that's successful for absolutely no reason. Like this is a telltale sign of being a complete loser. Firstly, it's a massive waste of energy and I'm going to come back to that in a second because energy and focus are two of our most vital resources. But it's the number one tell that I can think of to show me that you're insecure. If I roll up on someone, I haven't seen them in ages, and the first thing they start doing is hating on somebody else. I know they're in a bad place. There's nothing self-confident about it. There's nothing that, you know, it's gonna make you, it's not just gonna adorn you to the opposite sex. It's not that's gonna make lads think you're cool. It's just horrible. It's insecure. And it's nasty trait to say. But what makes it even more pathetic is like airtime is finite you like there's 24 hours in a day you're hopefully sleeping eight hours of that then you have your time for your meals then you have time for riding your bike and work so the remaining time we have the remaining attention that we have it's precious each one of those moments is precious because how we spend that time that decides our future that decides where we move to so you can get into tit for tat on social media but I I don't know one successful person, athlete, businessman, spiritual leader. I don't know one successful person who gets into it, commenting on other people's posts, tit for tat back and forth on any issue on social media, your focus, your energy and your attention. You need to put that on stuff that you can control. You need to put that. There's no point in bitching and moaning about the close past that happened here on. You may as well just suck it up unless you're going to use that focus and attention and put it constructed into something. Maybe you want to lobby local politician for reform. Great. That's a constructive use. You can lobby to increase the overtaken distance. Maybe it's one meter in your area, you'll lobby to get it increased to 1.5 meters. But going on and spewing on social media about it, it's lose our mentality. Focus your time and your energy on shit that you can control. To circle back, this is a Roman Boyz podcast, so it's only a short-ass one. But to circle back to the idea where I see in this, where somebody was just like hating on an athlete, who was literally at the top of his game, and like, you're literally on the bottom rung of the ladder, and you're hating on this dude who has accomplished everything you could ever imagine in your wildest dreams. Instead of hating on them, look at them and learn from them, and say, look, he has got to exactly where I want to be. He's left a step-by-step breadcrumb trail. Let's remember Hansel and Gretel, the bread crumb trail. He's left the bread crumb trail through the forest of success of what it takes to reach the top. He's left you a fucking roadman road map to get to where you want to go and instead of you picking up the crumbs joining the dots and going, oh that's how we got there, that's how we got there, that's how we got there. You waste your most valuable asset, your energy, your time, your focus on on Hayden on other people's success. There you go. That was our rant, roadman. And we're gonna expand this definition of what it is to be a roadman, but roadman, they're definitely not little bitches who are in other people's comments and trying to put other people down to make themselves feel better. Roadman, that's an all-opening, jolting start of the week. I'm gonna chat to you all tomorrow. Hey everybody, it's Anthony again.
