Course Overview
The Ötztaler is routinely rated one of the world's hardest one-day cycling events. Starting in Sölden, the route climbs four major Alpine passes — Kühtai, Brenner, Jaufenpass and the legendary Timmelsjoch — in a single 238km day. Entry is by ballot only. The 5,500m of climbing separates this from almost everything else: even strong riders find the final climb to Timmelsjoch a survival exercise.
