TRAINING ZONES (5 VS 7 ZONE MODELS)

Structured intensity ranges from FTP or lactate testing. Coggan 7-zone and Seiler 3-zone are the dominant frameworks.

Coggan: 7 zones from Active Recovery to Neuromuscular. Seiler: 3 zones separated by VT1 and VT2. Both require accurate testing. Neither is wrong — they serve different philosophies. The key is consistent testing and honest zone adherence.
