NUMB HANDS OR FEET ON THE BIKE — WHAT'S WRONG?

Mile 20 of every ride your ring and pinky finger go numb. Or your toes lose feeling halfway through a long climb. The numbness dissipates after the ride but it's there every time.

WHY THIS HAPPENS

Hand numbness (ulnar nerve): pressure on the outside of the palm from poor handlebar position

Hand numbness (median nerve): flexed wrist position stretching the carpal tunnel

Foot numbness: cleat position too far forward, shoes too tight, or overly aggressive arch support

Saddle position pushing too much weight onto hands

Stem length or reach too long — stretching to the bars

Fore-aft saddle position too far forward — weight on hands instead of sit bones

Cold weather + compressive gloves/shoes compounding circulation issues
