Welcome to our live Olympic time trial reaction episode it was a chaotic chaotic slip and slide on the streets of Paris for the Olympic time trial Belgium had two of the three places on the podium with w and Remco we're going to get in and unpack loads of the men's race but first we need to start with probably the clip that it symbolizes what this time TR was pure utter chaos b w can you pull up a clip of the Italian writer who I or sorry the American writer Taylor nibs who look she's a very talented writer she's qualified for the Olympics in not one but two sports she's going for triatlon and time draw which is absolutely insane but she had a nightmare of a day like the reports are she hit the ground four times I seen her hitting the ground at least three times and her mechanic hit the ground as well so let's have a look at this clip do you have it w yep so let's have a look at this clip chos it was chaos there's very very famous clip in Irish folklore when it snowed here and uh it got very icy here one winter and a newscaster was recording uh you know a piece for live just the guy that falls in the background he falls in the background and I mean he just it was spectacular but that guy no one has been able to track that guy down ever since and I think that mechanic is probably going to disappear into inter find that American mechanic if I was him now I'd just be like reversing back into the bush kind of like a Homer Simpson job I feel sorry for Taylor because you know Olympics the pressure to goes with it the stereotypes about triathletes can't go around corners she didn't really help that one she didn't do try athletes around the world any favors at all I just have a quick quote from her actually she said I was fully blind but you have to go on my Garmin fell off on the first fall so I'm like well here we go so it was an experience she wasn't downbeat at all After Time trailing after that absolutely miserable day and another thing she said was one thing I think I can take from my Triathlon career and even with my short three race time trial career is that I love learning that definitely makes me hungry and I'm excited to continue this sport hopefully so that's really the spirit of the Olympics isn't it right there just keep going get up get down get put down get back up get put back down get put back up again so I think she was amazing it does underly that cycling is a skill sport and we often forget that in this you know talk that's dominated pre race between the race is going to be woron by a combination of coefficient the frontal drag and power and then you wake up this morning we kind of had a glimpse last night cuz the opening ceremony was washed out of it you wake up this morning streets are washed out and I know W fard is one of the best bike handlers in the world and we're going to get on and look at some of the other you know near crashes in the men's race as well but to finish up talking about Taylor like such a mark difference between the W way W can handle a bike going around the corner and the way Taylor can handle the bike going around the corner it's a skill sport folks it's a skill sport yeah it's not just hop up on the bike and go as you said as fast put that put the Watts down there's so many nuances to it even in time trials where you've got no one around you I mean you're on your own you don't have that worry of people cutting you off chopping you you know touching Wheels but it's still really dangerous and that's what we saw today yeah look at some of the tech CU Tech is always interesting for the time draws we touched on that well already there was speculation that he might ride a double disc the first time I can ever remember in an open time trial someone using the double disc in the Olympics uh obviously they're quite prevalent in track events but you rarely rarely see them on the road because they're really really hard to handle if Taylor had to use that God know crashes you would have had I think white said uh earlier on in the week that he was going to him and his team were going to basically decide 20 minutes before the time Trav I guess it's wind they're not going to use them yeah what I was kind of struck with is the aftermarket aerobar extensions on almost every bike now every bike like pinell it's pinell actually rolled out a totally new bike for this the pinell beloy which they saying it's 2.2% better coefficient of
Frontal drag than their old one but we're seeing a lot of these aftermarket extensions on all the arrow bars like the visma Riders like w has on these extensions from vision and they're all expensive like you're looking at 2 and a half grand for just a set of these kind of 3D printed arobar extensions the EF Riders again were using Vision Luke plop who unfortunately had a crash which was a little bit later he was using a company called R syn out of Australia and they were also used by the winner in the female race as well Grace Brown so they're definitely not doing nothing too wrong there and the chain rings are so huge on the road we're so accustomed to looking at 53 chain rings I don't know what Josh tling was rocking I'm going to say a 60 chain ring on the front the idea with that is so he gets to keep the chain line straight so if you were in a 53 you would be right down in the 11 and the angle of that's a cross chain all the way and it's not very efficient to have a cross chain all the way so by having a 60 IM me he can stay closer to the center of the block all the time and if he does have an exceptional Tailwind section then he obviously has more space to go down the block but it's massive like a lot of amateurs would would be to turn it yeah I probably wouldn't be able to I wouldn't be able to start that bike if I can you know the way they have a little bit of momentum because they wait at the top of the ramp and then they're kind of push not pushed down but they're released down while they're already already sit sitting and clipped in so that like little ramp gives them a little bit of momentum but when they hop up from a crasher mechanical they need to get a push don't they I mean it's it's so hard to start those massive chain Rings again you would be surprised how if you used a like there an old school I think it was Sheldon brown I used to use his gear calculator online I wonder if that's still online someone let me know in the comments Sheldon brown had this gear calculat and you would be surprised that like say a 5311 when you bring that up like a 53 11 might be a similar size gear to a 5812 cuz the back Cog makes much more difference at the front although it sounds scary someone's ring a 58 or a 60 actually might be surprising on actually that's a gear you use quite frequently when you're out on the road yeah another thing that I noticed was the helmet and I we love to talk about Arrow helmets and time travel helmets don't we because they're all so bizarre so we again we saw the whole range didn't we but it seems that the Riders are using their team helmet rather than their helmet that is given to them by their country Association yeah I I think the reason for this is so if you take they're under contract is the main reason to BU these companies to wear the hel so like PK they you know the EF Riders have to wear PK in the Olympics they wouldn't I think the the second reason even if they have a like a clause in their contract which would allow them to wear a different helmet r with the Federation if you take quickstep so quickstep have specialized as their he helmet supplier for the season specializ don't have that many time trial helmets so with the pros they actually end up going to the wind tunnel to make that helmet fit the rider as opposed to when we had like Matt butrell on the podcast and he bike fits and brings amateur Riders to the wind tunnel amateur Rider can go to the wind tunnel and they can choose the helmet that fits them the pros got to do it the opposite way around so they got to use a lot of trickery around Arrow bars positioning to make the helmet perfectly fit them so it's a familiarity thing so the bike fit is perfectly designed to fit with that helmet choice so you're not going to go with the last minute and change your helmet cuz that's going to necessitate then changing your whole bike position right okay we another thing that we saw as well was the Riders had put their radios down the front of their Jersey usually on a road race we see them on the back you know kind of up near the shoulder blade or near enough to where the back strap would run I guess on their heart rate monitor but everyone seems to have them Tu down the front l yeah we're seeing a lot of innovation maybe the UC a clamp around this but we're seeing a lot of innovation in the off-road where UC isn't involved the gravel scene
Around this like rule 28 now have their gravel speed suit as the bottle goes down the front and La Morton when he won Unbound had his bladder down the front so even if a domestic in a bike race takes off a jersey or a not even a domestic if one of the leaders takes off Gile instead of stuffing it in their back pocket now you see them they're starting to stuff it down the front the reason is it closes this little Gap in between your two pecks and it's aerodynamically a lot more beneficial to have that Gap closed off so they're trying everything to can to close that Gap now the UCI oh interesting I'm sure it has an even further effect with um the women as well because of that you know the Gap there rather than packs in between their breasts that's don't know I haven't seen the girls I did see I did see a few girls with their R down front yeah so that is really really interesting okay let's go through the course will we so this was the first time that the men and women's time trial used the same course so they did the exact same route 32.4 km route didn't really have much climbing they said that there was a couple of false Flats on it less than 100 met it was basically no climbing very very flat um there was about a dozen turns and then there was a completely straight 5 km ride back to the finish line and a little bit and one turn just as they approached the Finish Line uh probably about 200 m a couple Riders actually struggling on that even when was coming in for you know obvious win at that point I was like oh just keep her up around that last Corner care yeah careful cuz they have they've gathered all that momentum and speed and that 5K straight haven't they and then they have to completely T take all that speed off going around that corner it was it was really really good to watch um so the Riders are let off at 90c intervals and we know this is just for people who are not familiar with the time trial Riders are absolutely not allowed to work together in any way so you're not allowed to roll up catch up to a person and get get a draft of um off them at all there's no riding in the slip stream behind you know the cyclist then there has to be a 2 m lateral gap between the Riders at all times yeah and the funny thing about that is so them rules are quite strictly enforced and then you have a follow car for each Rider so literally as someone is catching them I'm going to say from 50 60 M back you're starting to get an arrow Advantage from being behind that follow car so we seen all the top contenders W Ghana Remco all catching people at some point on the course they weren't catching they stack all the good Riders near the end but so they were catching people forther up the field who were just having a nightmare of a day but you get time in behind that car so you know I don't know how you how you do this cuz like you do need cars on the course to give to Mechanical assistance but I think when the Gap gets to 20 seconds or something you need to pull the car I don't know how you do it yeah I don't know because it these these wins and losses are first second third places are all one in matter you know a difference of a matter of seconds and if you're getting a drag from a car in front of you it camera bike argument that we've seen so many times races are decided about the camera bikes in the last five years which is crazy it never should be happening conditions were crazy aren't they today oh conditions were absolutely nuts which I think played a lot into how people paste their effort because we would talk about normally a traditional Time trailer likes to go out and build build build negative splits now wind conditions can you know change that up a little bit if it's a Tailwind headwind or vice versa but the conditions actually meant that the wrers had a totally different pace and strategy the Riders had to be conservative in the corners and had to be heard on the straights so you couldn't have a pacing strategy where you're like oh I'm going to negative split and build as I go just really quickly explain what a negative split is because we'll be watching writers and they give you time they give you times as in like okay so Remco is 10 seconds slower at this first section of race than white fer for instance but that's not a place where you're like oh Remco is not going to win this by any chance because they do really use negative splits they all be on different strategies explain
That a good example of a negative split is Philip boana he writes negative splits brilliantly if you look at them in the track last year he WR team Pursuit as well we'll see them later in the week in team Pursuit so a negative split if you divide the race into quarters each quarter is faster than the previous quarter so you're building momentum as the race goes on and inexperienced time tral or if you haven't done one in ages you normally go out like Alex D was talking about he jumps out of the gates now as an amateur and he sits down he's like 470 perfect oh this could be the day I average 470 and then he gets into quarter 2 and he's like 430 gets into quarter 3 410 gets into quarter 4 340 absolutely falls apart it's so hard to do when I was doing the road man uh virtual time trial you would always try and get me to do negative splits but uh if you're inexperienced it's it's a it's an art it is really real world conditions don't always mean negative splits the best pacing strategy CU you might want to go out harder into the headwind use up like 60% of your effort into the headwind and carry it home in the Tailwind but for this one anyway they were just spacing it around the corners we hear a lot of the writers talking about how they had to be conservative in the corners they got the benefit of watching the girls crashing so the lads could figure out Tire choices tire pressures pacing strategies around knowing how slippy it had been for the girls but the girls would also have known like a lot of the of the women Camp down they would still be getting fed back all them take yeah a they would still be getting fedback in information from people who are out on the course or team members that people had come down and to you know scrub a bit of speed and take a bit of pressure out of your tires and still so many people came down it was it was INS What makes it really difficult in a city center time tral and we've seen it in Madrid a few years ago in the wad there's a lot of traffic density going through the city center every day probably up to yesterday there still cars on this road they're spewing out little micro bits of diesel from their exhaust every time they're changing gears com from the clutch and that's mixing with water and that's a bad combination when the diesel residue and water mix it just makes it so so slipp giving me goosebumps remember in that uh that time TR that they did they basically did it in the pitch dark of night last year it the ramp was made of some very slippery it's kind of that stuff they they put on the pans to make your food not stick to it that seems what they put on that ramp cone down I think what made it a little bit worse today as well was most of the Riders would have done their Recon in dry conditions so they weren't too used to hitting these corners and figuring out it's a different Apex in the wet as well so they weren't overly used to it so that compounded a lot of the other problems but there was loads of things like when you talk about the conditions on the roof there was speed ramps there like it's a city center there was cobbles there was rough tarmac there was smooth tarmac there was like a bike it's a skill sport yeah it was it was insane it was insane uh we're going to get in obviously and talk about and dissect the favorites but can we give a shout out to Ryan Mullen who first Olympics for Ireland he took the lead ever so briefly and he was in the hot seat you know friend of the show on the podcast a bunch of times he was something a lot of people might know Ryan Mullen coming up under Edge was such a dominant time trialist and it looked like that's where his Niche was going to be in World Tour until he kind of Niche down into this new lead out R we've seen him in the past couple of years but he rolled back the clock for a really solid time troll performance um where did he finish 12 yeah cuz I was actually texting his wife draina just to say whoa we're so proud of him and uh she kind of texts back to saying he was a bit disappointed that he didn't get in the top 10 that was his you know his real Target for the time trial but he did the nation Pride yeah he really did classic okay Josh Tarling Josh Tarling he's gone to bed with a broken heart tonight now I don't know much about Josh Tarling there's there was a lot of lines written about them and they lead up to this there
Is a lot of hype and as I said I've never really heard about this chat before so Josh tling is it's funny because we see the superstars who were top of the podum and we know all know Ghana W Remco they're on million dooll contracts they're the biggest stars in the sport Josh darling does fly under the there a little bit but he's only 20 years old and he's from the south of Wales he's the European time trial champion and he really is a product of the British 10 scene like Britain I've spoken you know in with CCL historians in the podcast who traced that evolution of the time trial scene where road racing was banned in Britain and time trialing came up as almost this protest Sport and it's still a driving scene much more so than road racing in the UK and he is really he's come through that and he's a to that so he has a lot of Hometown support and he is legit one of the best testers in the world now good Classics Rider as well but where his Niche really is is these time trials so he went into and I heard him earlier in the week like he wasn't going to take part he was going to win that was his goal today and his position looked brilliant as well all the way true like for a big man he's arrow and he's steady and as Sean Kelly T legs go up and down like a own machine he looks amazing on that time Trav B doesn't it it feel it looks like they are him and the Machine are one and the TV Graphics actually had him leading at one point now granted REM coana hadn't gone out but he was leading the race at one point until he got a front wheel puncture and we weren't sure with the coverage because shout out to euros sport the worst coverage I've ever seen of a time trial they were showing us pictures of overheads of the L the Shan ciz oh my God it was painful to watch it was absolutely infu infuriating and I know that they are kind of pinned to their collar because they only get they're buying the rights or something yeah they're buying the rights but we're we're paying for this footage we're not paying to see drone shots of the Eiffel teror thank you very much and the comment done a great job keeping it going like they were as frustrated as we are yeah but we actually weren't too sure what happened Josh tling did he crash what turned out he had a puncture afterwards he said happens in it everyone put a lot lot of effort in and yeah it happens front whe puncture and it was on the rim so I had to change it right now it's annoying but I have the road race in a few days so I'll give it my best he missed out on a medal by 2 seconds yeah that's the heartbreaking thing I saw him at the end he was of course his parents are there he's getting a big mommy hug from um his mom which which can sometimes heal everything that and a cup of tea but that um fall that he had that or that puncture that he had how much time would he have lost there because we spoke about it earlier even getting going again even stopping and getting going again I'm sure some Nar online has done the calculations on this but the calculation isn't how long does it take you to change bikes the calculation is from the time you were at cruising speed to the time you get back to cruising speed so I would estimate 25 to 30 seconds how much did he miss goal by two seconds 2 seconds he miss out on a medal oh sorry yeah he missed out on a medal by two seconds 27 seconds he missed Gold by it would have been really really close for gold he got back on and I mean he went for it he's he's going places he's so so young so he be around for another four five Olympics don't worry about it but look it's a dangerous sport life trolls a lot of weird stuff at people it's easy to say 20-year-old is going to be around for another two three four games who knows maybe that was his only chance who knows okay let's move on to filipo Ghana my one of my favorite writers he's so cool top Ghana yeah top Ghana so he's riding the track this year too team Pursuit they're defending Champions Italy he d them around by the short tails for a gold medal last year so yeah he'll be aiming for well he was aiming for the double people who don't know anything about track the team Pursuit is the one really to watch isn't it team Pursuits rock and roll yeah because I wouldn't know I wouldn't follow uh track that much but yeah there's a couple that are really really cool to what the
Madison I think is quite Madison's pretty chaotic but yeah team Pursuits definitely want to watch and see check out Ghana on that but again not to harp on the Euros sport coverage but we didn't see Ghana for the first 24 km of the race today but sure also we didn't see I know we'll move on to white but we didn't even see white going down the ramp it was he was well into his race well in like about 10 kilometers in before we saw him either and something similar happened at ramco so yeah it was just frustrating Ghana W can you pull up that clip of Ghana going over the speed ramp we'll just talk away as it's playing in the background but that save from Ghana going over the speed ramp like it's phenomenal now there's some look there's some skill in it but he said afterwards that he had an angel on his shoulder if he crashes there he's going to hospital in a helicopter and he's eating Hospital fi tonight for sure like that's a bad bad crash if he hits that fence like his front so he was obviously disappointed last games and he missed out on the middle so afterwards he said second is better than the last games everyone knows I'm not super good in the rain I tried to follow my dream I tried to follow my pacing so I'm really happy with the day oh kind of like Ghana yeah I like Gana too yeah he's easy on the eye as well yeah yeah yeah yeah settled h w was brilliant W I was actually rooting for w I turned into a big Remco fan but I was rooting for W on this one CU it just seems like he he just didn't get the rubber of green all true the Tour of France he had kind of a crash hit early season coming down heavy in one of the classics and I was rooting for him and you know he he took some risks with that double disc into the corners obviously a phenomenal cyc crossroader the best bike Handler in the time trial today and I think he tried to lean into that and not be as conservative as the other guys through the corners and someone I know you want to move on to talk about Remco cuz you know today is all about Remco but just spare a thought for Luke pla Luke pla was fourth on the splits when he crashed at the first intermediate check and then he didn't appear at the second intermediate check the cameras never caught what happened them it was only a social media post that seing that actually CAU what happened we didn't even see it just showed the aftermath of it but got for Luke PL cuz he put a lot of preparation into that and look he might have pushed close for the medal like we'll never know and he's been transferred to hospital there's no reports on his injuries as the time recording this so yeah best wishes to him best luck to him another crash was Magnus Sheffield yeah yeah again look it's nearly easier to list the people that didn't crash yeah he rolled home with some serious pretty impressive Road Road Rash as well right let's move on to rco is yeah rco what do you say about rco I was worried going into it two things for rco the questions we know he's phenomenal he's World Time troll Champion he's maybe the best time Trist in the world at the moment but two questions going into it how did he recover from the Tour of France it's only a few days ago was it five days ago since the Tour of France finished and he podiumed he went hard and deep every day including the last day where he got second in the time trial so look I was worried of about fatigue for him and then he also transformed his physique a little bit going into the T France he dropped a lot of ways to be competitive in the mountains to be able to follow yonas to be able to follow pogy and he largely was successful in that but losing weight can affect your straight line power and a straight out flat TT that's a watts per kilogram time Trail sorry not a watts per kilogram Time trailer what's per CDA time Trail I was worried but 53.7 km an hour average across the course today he absolutely scorched it oh my God he's a joy to watch on the time trial he looks like yeah again another guy who is so streamlined whatever it is about his body now best position in the world yeah now he he spends a lot of time with the winnal Apparently but yeah it's it's really really cool why would he why was he sent off last like the slower Riders are the non-time trial specialist he's box office right okay basically cuz he's box office I think it's combination of UCI rankings recent performances results in key time trials and they put them
All into a mixer blend it all up and then they pull out intuitively I think we all kind of know which rouer should be going when the rationale is you don't want Ghana going off first in dry conditions and then 90 minutes later it starts raining and Remco goes off so you have two of the favorites in totally different conditions you want to have cuz not just rain wind changes as well and that's massively you know impactful on the time so you want all the competitors that are likely to be at the business end going off quite near to each other you don't also don't have that issue of Remco catching his you know 90c man his three minute man his four and a half minute man all the way up because then he's getting a draft off each of those cars and it becomes a little bit novelty yeah uh a little bit of Remco quote I know you're Keen to get into talking about the girls cuz girls rule the world uh Remco it's a magical moment in my life we watched the women's race before we got into the war up and we saw the crashes and we decided to not take any risks in the corner and push a bit more on the straights it was a good strategy with a third spot in the Tour of France and a victory here you know pleasure out of him over there tur to France that it's just brilliant to see him with a gold medal so yeah absolutely delighted okay the women's race yeah just a few words on the women's race again the conditions were absolutely disgusting I mean the rain was just being shot up from all angles and shot down from all angles on these women Grace Brown she's from Australia she took the win she beat British Rider Anna Henderson uh by one point 1 second thir no one minut oh 1 minute 31 seconds and the third was Khloe Dart from the USA now Grace Bry she kind of had a bit of a shake shaky start we saw her up at the top of the ramp and it looked like she wasn't clipped in or she wasn't ready to go or I know when the Riders start off there is an official who basically does the countdown on their fingers and they their fingers right in front of the rider's face so there seem to be a little bit of confusion coming down the ramp yeah sometimes so so you walk up there's a stairs on the far side of the ramp so you walk up the stairs you carry your bike up the stairs or maybe you push it up the stairs you'll hand your bike to the official and then you're in place so from 10 they'll hold you in place and you clip in but obviously you want your you want your like your feet in a position where you're ready to put power down so sometimes when you're in the star block if your feet I just notic in the pursuit cuz it's so important the pursuit and you can't do the back pedal but if you're in a Time draw sometimes if your feet aren't in the perfect position you back pedal and that creates slack in the system so now when you go to front pedal you end up clipping out or having a false start basically like she had so I don't know for a fact that's what happened to her but that is a very frequent occurrence in Star boxes right okay yeah it just looked super awkward but it look it didn't really seem to phaser in the end she's retiring this year this is her last year in the world tour the as a pro cyclist so what an amazing way to finish off but did you say also she rode a better time than the Slovenian Yan trapn from no the same time basically the same time I think there was like milliseconds in the difference like that underlies how fast like trap Nick's just off the tour to France you you know biggest team in the world or arguably one of the biggest teams in the world Lisa bike and yeah that's a phenomenal right yeah Anna Henderson was kind of my tail that I should have got The Bookies to put money on Josh Tarling because the GB Squad kind of they share a lot of from you know aerodynamics to helmets to pacing strategies and when she pulled out such a good Ro I like Josh tling could do this yeah it kind of gave gave confidence so Anna has a very interesting story as well so she came second as I said but she this year broke her collar bone twice so she raced broke her collar bone bouns back from that went to another race broke it again and they're kind of saying that this actually gave her the space away from road racing to get really dialed in on that time trial position and hone her time trial skills so really amazing uh second
Place for Anna there other mentions I have to mention my favorite female Rider L keki is because you seen her in the airport well she's just like come on it's not just because that she's an absolute Savage L came sixth she came back from the gered Italia um and she had co uh directly after that so she said that she's targeting three events this Olympics the time trial the road race and the omnium and she said in fact that the time trial is actually her weakest uh her weakest event so she still has the road race and the OM omnium to look forward to she did come down as well we already talked about that USA Rider Taylor nib I don't think she'll ever be forgotten her and her mechanic before I give you the full results on it just a quote from Grace Bry the winner she said she was feeling very calm until this morning and then then the pressure of the situation really started to Dawn on her and she goes on to say you're sort of waiting there before the race not knowing if it's going to be a shocker or a great one then when I'm in the race I feel I find my zone and I felt really strong and I was able to execute everything exactly how I planned so yeah it was almost a perfect race it's cool just really some result yeah I'll go through the results for the women so in first place we have Grace Brown Australia Anna Henderson Great Britain Khloe dard from the USA another another girl who fell H Juliet labus from France she fell as well Demi varing Netherlands uh Lotto keki from Belgium and then yeah that's kind of sixth seventh we have New Zealand Alisa Longo berini we all know she's a very very prominent uh rider in the world tour from isy she came eth and yeah it was really interesting do you know what I know that sometimes we kind of say time trial isn't that interesting but I have to say I really enjoy quite ex one today yeah it was quite ex you know what it's not good for the Riders but those I always talk about Jeopardy and how it makes it so much more interesting as viewers but the conditions the twists and turns the weather the ramps the cobbles all of that just makes it a bit more of a spectacle for us um before we head off I'll recap the men's results your Olympic champion it's Remco EV theole 36 minutes and 12 seconds seconds which is a blistering fast time on that course phip oana 15 seconds back W vaner so two belgians in the top tree at 25 seconds tling painfully only two seconds off the podium after that front wheel puncture which forced a bike change Brandon mcti absolutely top rid from the American you know UAE put a lot of focus on the time trial this year and he's only a minute and four back stepan Bessinger who is a great time trialist in his own Ro EF Rider really dialed on his aerodynamics he was you know outside bet for a Podium if a couple of lads ahead of him had have crashed Nelson olera wouldn't have expected him to be seventh Stefan Kong eighth ma shakman ninth mikelberg 10th Matas vek 11th and our very own Ryan Mullen 12th 1 minute and 45 off the pace which isn't a lot considering Ryan does not focus on time sh anymore so that's got to probably leave him wondering that if he did reapply himself to time Tri that's not the commercial reality for him no one's going to resign him off his time tral ability board Ryan's one of the best time trailers in the world if he focuses on it yeah he did us so proud I can't wait cannot wait for the road the road race it's going to be amazing that's a wrap folks thanks for tuning in to another episode of our live coverage this time from the Olympics we're going to be back all week with more videos interviews writer support and then the WTA espa is coming hot soon about three weeks from now so we're going to be live every single day for that in the meantime there's a video up here which you should definitely check out and click down here the Subscribe button so you do get notified for those upcoming videos
